Born to a U.S. Navy family and raised in Maryland, Dhani was an outdoor enthusiast long before he rose to fame as an NFL linebacker. He grew up snowboarding, canoeing, and mountain biking, not touching a football until high school. During his professional career with the Giants, Eagles, and Bengals, he was known for his cerebral approach to the game as much as he was devastating tackles, a testament to his name, which in Hindi means "thinking man." Since leaving the game, Dhani has dedicated himself to charitable work, investments in wellness startups, his bowtie collection, and serving on Outside Interactive's board of directors.
