Filmmaker, Advocate

Award-winning filmmaker, advocate, and strategist Dani Reyes-Acosta tells stories of reciprocity in the outdoors—inviting us to roam the path of liberation. After leaving corporate life in 2014, she began a circuitous journey to self-actualization and cultural reclamation through outdoor adventure. With a background in change management and brand strategy, Reyes-Acosta’s work combines media with action to foster community-building. Through words, visuals, and film, Reyes-Acosta work heals our relationship with (and fosters connection to) self, land, y comunidad. Named "Alliance Member of the Year" by Protect Our Winters for climate advocacy and Explore Fund Council Member for The North Face in 2022, she’s also served as a juror for several film festivals and funding committees. Her 2025 film, OUTLIER: COMMON was named “Most Inspiring Film” at No Man’s Land Film Festival, and she is a 2024 recipient of the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture Adán Medrano Film Award.
