Artist & Filmmaker, KEEN/Trailbound Sketches

Growing up dyslexic in Alaska and upstate New York, Max Romey always struggled to share the outdoors with words, so he turned to his sketchbook and camera. After years of freelance filmmaking and sketching on the side, he finally mixed the two and now works to visually show the complex connections and stories of the outside world. From marine debris in Katmai to warming winters in Anchorage, there is more than enough here at home for Romey to fill a sketchbook, or two.
